The need....

SanAngeloHOST.com was established by Robert McGuffin Jr. in March 2003. I saw a need for a focused San Angelo based hosting provider that gave residents of San Angelo access to very affordable, high quality, locally based web hosting packed with excellent features. However, this does not limit our ability to provide services clients nationwide, or even overseas.

The affordability....

Basically SanAngeloHOST.com was built from the ground up as if I was the client and what I would be expecting in a web hosting provider. The hosting plans needed to be very affordable and full of useful features, usually only found in more expensive plans by other hosting providers.

Robert McGuffin Jr. has owned and operated Computer M.D. since 1994. SanAngeloHOST.com is a local product, specifically tailored to the needs of the San Angelo hosting market. Our connections to multiple backbone providers, and peering with many carriers on a regional and international basis, allows us to easily reach remote networks even in the case where a NAP may be unhealthy, or when a specific backbone connection is down. It also allows us to make intelligent routing decisions; for example, if we are trying to reach a remote network which is on the Sprint network, there's no reason to send it out to UUNET first.

By placing our core nodes at One Wilshire Blvd, we are guaranteed a superior level of service. Utilizing both Savvis and Mzima as our premium bandwidth providers assures excellent connectivity for your web site. After all, a stable server has little value if the network behind it is plagued with drop outs and downtime.
